Spring is here, and our magnificent Princeton Day School Middle School musicians are sharing their talents with the community in three concerts this month. On Monday, May 14, the MS strings players performed their concert, which included the talents of Allegro Strings, MS Chamber Players, and Sinfonia. Selections ranged from the Puerto Rican folk song "Que Bonita Bandera" to songs by Vivaldi and Beethoven to "Kashmir," the Led Zeppelin classic. Here are some photos from the concert.
On Tuesday, May 15, the Middle School Band Concert filled the seats in the McAneny Theater. The Jazz Band, MS Wind Quintet, Discovery Band, Expedition Band, and Odyssey Band performed an eclectic program, including pieces like "Seven Nation Army," by the White Stripes, "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, and The James Bond Theme. Stay tuned for photos.
Finally, on Monday, May 22 the Middle School Choral Concert will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the McAneny Theater. The Concert Choir, Chorale, and combined MS Choirs will perform a wide range of music, including "This Is Me" from the recent film "The Greatest Showman," and a Calypso tune called "Shake the Papaya Down."
