Boys Soccer was seeded No. 16 in the Mercer County Tournament. The team beat No. 17 Trenton Catholic Academy 5-0 in the play-in game to advance to the first round of the tournament. They faced off against the No. 1 seed Notre Dame but fell 3-1.
The boys are still going strong in the Prep B State Tournament, where they are seeded No. 6. They won the first round last Thursday, October 10th, upsetting No. 3 Wardlaw-Hartridge 3-0. The Panthers will play the winner of the Montclair Kimberley Academy and Newark Academy matchup on Thursday, October 24th.
Girls Soccer is seeded No. 2 in the Mercer County Tournament behind Hopewell Valley, who they tied in the regular season. They won the first round yesterday against No. 15 West Windsor Plainsboro North in a 5-0 victory. The Panthers will take on crosstown rival Princeton High School in the semifinal game on October 22nd at Hopewell Valley.
The Panthers are seeded first in the Prep B State Tournament and received a bye for the first round. The next game will be on Monday, October 28th verse No. 5 Montclair Kimberley Academy (who upset No. 4 Gill St. Bernard School in a 1-0 victory in the first round).
The field hockey team was ranked No. 6 heading into the Mercer County Tournament. The Panthers defeated No. 11 West Windsor Plainsboro South 1-0 in the first round. They advanced to the quarterfinals but fell to No. 3 Allentown in a 2-1 game on Allentown's grass field.
In the Prep B State Tournament, the Panthers are ranked No. 2 behind Morristown Beard School. The team has a bye for the first round and will face off against the winner of Stuart (3) and Newark Academy (6) in the Semifinal game on Wednesday, October 23rd at PDS.
The Volleyball team competed in their first Prep B State Tournament as a fall sport. Unfortunately, the team fell to Rutgers Prep 0-2 in the first round of the tournament.
The Panthers finished 5th overall in the Mercer County Tournament with a team score of 14.5. Individual highlights include Neha Khandkar '23 defeating Princeton High in the third singles final. Hayden Masia '21 and Hannah Van Dusen '21 also took first doubles.
The Prep B State Championship will begin on Monday, October 21st. Neha Khandkar is in the championship match at third singles and Hayden Masia and Hannah Van Dusen are in the championship match at first doubles. These players are striving for individual state championships, while the team has its sights set on a 2nd place finish.
The Cross Country team will compete in the Mercer County Meet on Friday, October 25th and the Prep B State meet on Wednesday, November 6th.
