"For the first time since 2015, we were able to have a full girls cross country team and Maddie Weinstein '23 is a major part of that team. Over the last couple of years, Coach Woodside and I have watched Maddie run in Middle School races and we knew we were getting a very solid runner. Maddie trains extremely hard every day and this work rate has resulted in major improvements throughout the season. It is amazing to think that we have yet to see her full potential yet.
In August we did a time trial on our home course to gauge each runner's level and Maddie ran a 27:52 on a very hot day. Fast forward to the Fall Classic at Thompson Park on Saturday, October 12th and she ran a 22:55! Your hard work and big smile add so much energy to the team and we could not be more proud of you and look forward to seeing what the future holds."
