"Sophomore Emily Zhu is a second year Varsity Volleyball player who plays the game well beyond her years. In practice, you will rarely see Emily taking a break. As soon as she enters the gym, she begins to warm up. During breaks in practice, she is still setting and hitting. Once her teammates leave practice, Emily is one of the last ones to put a volleyball down. Through her hard-work and determination, Emily has become one of the most consistent players on the varsity team. She is reliable in all areas of the game — passing, setting and attacking, which makes her a perfect six-rotation player. Emily is the embodiment of the saying 'hard-work pays off.' Keep it up, Em!"
