A standout tennis competitor and student-athlete, Johnson played Division 1 tennis at Bradley University and Penn State University. She coached women's tennis at Waynesburg College for six years and was named President's Athletic Conference Tennis Coach of the Year by her peers while there.
Over the past eight years, Johnson has coached high-performance juniors in the United States, in Zurich, Switzerland and in London, UK. Most recently she has served as head coach of PDS Middle School Girls and Boys Tennis.

"I'm extremely honored to be named as the Boys Varsity Tennis Coach and am looking forward to the upcoming season. The Athletic Department and coaches at PDS are extremely supportive of each other and I feel privileged to be part of such a positive team," Johnson stated.
Johnson is excited about her role as a coach and the opportunities she sees to facilitate positive leadership qualities that will serve athletes in high school, college and in their careers. "My coaching philosophy at the high school level is that tennis should build self-confidence and strategic decision-making skills as well as build teamwork and support dynamics on and off the court," Johnson noted.
