Goldman Sachs Gives Supports Financial Aid Program
In January of 2014, Princeton Day School announced that Goldman Sachs Gives awarded a $2 million endowed gift in support of need-based financial aid to the school. In announcing the news, Board Chair Barbara Griffin Cole '78 remarked, "We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Goldman Sachs Gives, and are elated to be able to expand Princeton Day School's financial aid program so that we can continue to enroll the most talented and diverse student population possible. This gift leads us ever closer to our goal of meeting the full demonstrated need of our families." Goldman Sachs Gives is a donor-advised fund that makes grants to qualifying nonprofit organizations around the world, including educational institutions. The fund supports underserved communities through building and stabilizing communities, honoring service and veterans, creating jobs and economic growth, and increasing educational opportunities. Recipients of the financial aid provided by this gift at PDS will be known as the "Goldman Sachs Scholars."
