Materials & Resources

1. The material we chose for the outside of the building has 5% less carbon than a comparable building in a similar climate built in a typical manner. While 5% doesn't sound like much, it's actually a lot in this area and creates a much smaller carbon impact.
2. Building products used met sourcing requirements 
3. The raw materials in our products, such as wood, come from companies that are transparent and certified about sourcing them without ecological damage and that have responsible employment, such as no child labor.
4. The materials we used have been tested and certified as healthy products that the improve indoor health quality.
5. We found haulers for our 75% or our construction waste (such as concrete, wood, dry wall) who committed to reuse or recycle and not landfilling.

We have dedicated recycling bins and a successful recycling program.
