Imagine the Possibilities
Imagine the Possibilities is an annual school-wide program made possible through the John D. Wallace, Jr. ’78 Memorial Guest Artist Series Fund that brings authors, illustrators, and poets to Princeton Day School to work directly with students across disciplines and grade levels.
2020 marks the 25th anniversary of Imagine the Possibilities. Trustee Emeritus Jack Wallace ’48 and his wife, Happy, established the guest artist series fund to honor their son, John, a charismatic young man who loved writing, music and theater and who died in 1990. For 25 years, ITP has continued John’s legacy, providing opportunities for thousands of students across all Divisions to learn from and work directly with 67 artists to date, including many award-winning authors and illustrators. Current Director of ITP and former third grade teacher, Beverly (Bev.) Gallager, developed the program and has coordinated all of the artist visits since its inception. Along with special coverage of this 25th anniversary year, the School hosts an exhibit May 5-20, 2020, at the Anne Reid '72 Art Gallery, created by John Wallace's nephew, Connor Gibson '12, to honor John's memory.
