Princeton Day School Panther Winter sports teams begin competition this week with a slate of scrimmages before regular season games kick off next week. Panther teams started workouts last week and all players and coaches are adhering to School health and safety protocols, including daily health screenings and wearing masks at all times. The School's goal is to experience a safe, meaningful winter athletics season this year across Panther basketball, ice hockey, squash and fencing programs.
Due to state restrictions on indoor gatherings and events, no spectators, including parents, are allowed to attend competitions on campus. But Panther fans can still tune in to some specific games! The PDS Athletic Department has partnered with Mai Day Productions to film and livestream a slate of home games for Panther Varsity and JV Boys Ice Hockey, Girls Ice Hockey, Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball.
The first livestreamed competition takes place today, January 13 at 4:00 p.m. when Boys Varsity Ice Hockey scrimmages Delbarton School at the Lisa McGraw '44 Skating Rink. Click on the link above for the livestream.
Girls Varsity Ice Hockey will scrimmage Chatham-Madison High School tomorrow, January 14, at 5:15 p.m. and will be livestreamed here.
Stay tuned to the PDS Athletics schedule page and PDS Athletics Instagram and Twitter for updates and livestream links for upcoming Panther games. Due to the possibility of schedule changes and cancellations, it is recommended to check the schedule page and social media daily.
