One of Princeton Day School's traditional end-of-year celebrations is the Lifers Celebration, celebrating all of the seniors who spent their academic career at PDS over the last twelve to fourteen years. This year's event honored the 26 Lifer members of the Class of 2020, while it also provided an opportunity for the Lifers to thank the many PDS community members who made their journey unforgettable and extraordinary.
This year's Lifers Celebration was held virtually and began with remarks from Head of School Paul Stellato, followed by Head of Upper School Trixie Sabundayo, who also served as the emcee. On the importance of lifers and their families, Mr. Stellato said, "As much as any Head of School and any trustee or faculty member, families who are with a school over a long term help give it the shape and definition that it brings to every other family who joins the school community. You have proved to be a beacon and a guide for every student and parent who has joined our community since you arrived. Your legacy lives in those who follow you and it is a great and joyful legacy."
Among the special guests were four retiring faculty members, each of whom is exceptionally talented, beloved and long-serving at PDS: Will Asch, Jenny Mischner, Eileen Hohmuth-Lemonick and Jeff Rubens. (Longtime skating coach Gail Gomez, who is also retiring this year, was unable to attend.) Each retiring faculty member toasted the Lifers in a heartfelt event that featured many touching remembrances and thank you toasts:
Lifers to Faculty: Toasts made by Kyra Douglass '20, John Carroll '20 and Emily Cavuto '20.
Faculty to Lifers: Toasts made by retiring faculty members Will Asch, Jenny Mischner, Eileen Hohmuth-Lemonick and Jeff Rubens.

At the conclusion of the final toast, the event was capped by a lovely, trip-down-memory-lane slideshow created by lifers Maggie Madani '20 and Maggie Amaral '20.
