Boys Varsity Soccer Enjoys Memorable Senior Day

The Princeton Day School Boys Varsity Soccer game celebrated its Senior Day on Friday, October 9, before what turned out to be a thriller against Hun School. With a senior-laden squad and the support of family and friends scattered at socially distanced locations around Baker Field, the team came into the day ready to create a lasting memory. And they certainly delivered! After a pregame ceremony celebrating each senior, the Panthers prevailed 2-1 in overtime, with both goals coming from leaders Will Sedgley '21 and Aidan McChesney '21.

Here are highlights from Head Coach Ollie Hilliker's remarks about each senior during the pregame ceremony:

Trevor Kunkle: In his second year as a varsity member, Trevor is a significant member of the team on the field and an irreplaceable character off of it; he made his first start as goalkeeper last year in a matchup against rival Pennington School.

Aidan McChesney: Team Captain, Aidan is a solid defender who helps the team from the back and who also has a knack for finding the goal; he is a great role model for the underclassmen.
