Following the exciting events of Blue and White Day, Middle School Choral students performed their Spring Concert to a room of proud family members, teachers and friends. With renditions of popular and nostalgic songs sure to make every person in McAneny Theater smile, the show was a huge hit and received loud applause following each number. Edgar Mariano, Middle and Upper School Music teacher, led the performances and offered his take on the night.

He said, "The Middle School Choral Concert was a major success! The 5th and 6th grade Concert Choir started off the show with "Scales and Arpeggios" from Aristocats and ended their set with "We're All In This Together" from High School Musical, which highlighted soloists and dancers. The evening proceeded with two duets, then performances by the 7th and 8th grade Treble Choir and Bass Choir. The rest of the Chorale set included songs from the movie "Sing" and included two guitar soloists. The culminating event was seeing all 105 students on stage singing "Jambo Rafiki!"

He continued, “It is incredible to see the Middle School Choral program grow throughout my five years at PDS. After a long Blue and White day, it was wonderful to see the community come back together and make beautiful music."
