On April 22, Princeton Day School's College Counseling team held a Virtual College Fair for juniors in conjunction with Stuart Country Day School. More than 50 colleges across the country and abroad participated in the event to help students learn more about their array of programs and resources.
"It is so important for our juniors to hear from college representatives at this point in their search in order to help them expand their college lists and learn what options exist," Associate Director of College Counseling Cindy Michalak said. "With students still largely unable to visit colleges in the traditional manner, we wanted to provide new ways to help inform our students' search process," she added.
All on-campus members of the junior class gathered in the Athletic Center Field House, where properly-distanced tables were set up throughout the expansive space in keeping with safety protocols. Students currently learning at home participated via Zoom throughout the event.
Colleges were assembled by the College Counseling office into subgroups of six via Zoom. Two sessions were held during the event so that students could have the chance to learn about a total of 12 colleges.
Representatives from each of the participating colleges provided brief introductions about their respective schools before transitioning into smaller breakout rooms where students could ask questions about each college.
