This spring, your child will take assessments called the Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP). We give students MAP tests to measure academic growth throughout the school year and to measure growth from year to year in the areas of Math and Reading & Language. The math assessment will take place on Friday March 31st and the reading assessment will be completed on Thursday April 6th. Make-ups will be completed between April 3rd and April 14th during resource periods.

MAP tests are unique in that they adapt to your child’s level of learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing. With MAP tests, we can administer shorter tests and use less class time while still receiving detailed, accurate information about your child’s growth. Over the next few weeks, your child will spend the equivalent of two class periods completing these tests. Your child will take the tests on their iPad during first period in their homeroom.
