Last week all of our students, aided by The Compost Fairy (who flew in for the occasion), learned and relearned how to compost. Did you know that in the 2025-6 school year, by composting, we saved 26,000 lbs of food waste from being delivered to the landfill?  This saved 6500 lbs of methane production; methane is a greenhouse gas with a global warming potential 28 to 36 times greater than carbon dioxide over 100 years.
