Tinkergarten

Thursdays: April 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28

Instructor: Ann Louise Ennis & Kristin Broderick

This Spring, we focus on creativity—the ability to imagine original ideas or solutions to problems and make them happen. We’ll help kids develop creative mindsets and strategies that they can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and to nurture relationships. And, we’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!

Our lessons follow a steady progression and are organized into three units. In our Building Blocks unit, we focus on the Three B's—the three core processes that we use when we are creative. In our Creative Thinking unit, we use pretending to explore divergent thinking and discover many possible solutions to problems. In our final Creative Expression unit, we explore how we can express ideas and feelings through art, music, and movement.

Please note: all classes will be outdoors, barring extreme weather conditions
