Mark has been a member of the faculty at PDS since 1989. He teaches Physical Education in all three divisions -- Lower, Middle and Upper and Health & Wellness in the Middle School. Mark joined PDS as the Varsity Head Football Coach and Assistant Lacrosse Coach and has continued in recent years to coach our Middle School football and track & field teams. He led the design, development, and programs for the Patrick Kerney Fitness Center. Mark worked with students and faculty to develop the very popular Middle School Sport Mini-Course Week. Both of Mark’s children attended PDS. Before coming to PDS Mark was the Physical Education Department Chair at the Breck School in Minneapolis. Mark received his BS in Physical Education and Health from Ursinus College.
John was Head Coach of Cross Country and Track at Princeton High School for 12 years before joining the PDS Coaching staff in 2015. Coach Woodside lead PHS to eight top-5 sectional finishes and two top-5 state finishes as well as collected six Colonial Valley Conference titles in his tenure there. He is the founder and director of the Woodside Cross Country Camp which is dedicated to training high school age runners to to be more competitive distance runners.
