Tuition & Financial Aid

1. Indicate on your Admission application (SAO) that you will be applying for financial aid. If you have already submitted the SAO and did not indicate that you would be applying for financial aid, please email financialaid@pds.org
2. Complete the Clarity Application by January 15.
3. As part of the Clarity Application, you will be given instructions about submitting required documents. These documents must be provided directly to Clarity. Do not email or send tax documents to Princeton Day School. Please be aware that Clarity or the PDS office of financial aid may request additional documents once you have completed the application. Your application is not complete without the required documents.
4. For divorced or separated parents or parents that have never been married, each parent must complete a Clarity application regardless of custodial arrangements.

If you have special circumstances that you would like us to consider, please include all details in the notes section of the Clarity Application.

For PDS Students Currently Receiving Financial Aid

In order to be eligible for financial aid, you must submit a financial aid application each year. The Clarity application, including supporting tax documentation, is due by December 1.

Supporting documents must be provided directly to Clarity. Do not email or send tax documents to Princeton Day School. Your application is not complete until all required documents have been received.

For PDS Students Who Have Not Previously Received Aid

In order to be considered, documentation must be provided to explain a change in circumstances (i.e. change of employment, extreme health concerns, etc.).

For returning students who are requesting aid for the first time:

1. Please send an email to financialaid@pds.org describing the change of circumstances that precipitates the need for financial assistance. Include in this email any special circumstances that you would like us to consider. You may also call Julie Cucchi, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, to discuss the reason for your first time application.
2. By December 1, complete a Clarity Application.
3. On the Clarity application, select the status: Returning First Time Applicant 
4. After submitting your Clarity Application, you will be able to submit additional documents by uploading them directly to Clarity. Your application is not complete until all documents have been received.

Step 1
Go to the Clarity website.

Step 2
Begin your application and add Princeton Day School to your student applicant entry. You can save your application and log out at any time and return later to complete it.

Step 3
Complete your application and pay the $65 Clarity application fee. Clarity will automatically waive the application fee for eligible applicants.

Step 4
Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. This is a one-time security measure required by the IRS to protect against identity theft and the compromise of personal information. Please review the Clarity Tax Verification Guide for assistance. Only those filing US taxes will be prompted to complete this step.

Step 5
Submit your Clarity application and follow the link to return to your dashboard to upload any additional supporting documents requested by Princeton Day School. Non-U.S. tax filers may be prompted to upload income verification and other necessary documentation. Keep in mind that at a later date, you may be prompted by the school via Clarity to upload additional documentation as needed.
