Middle School Application Process
Grades 5-8
Fill Out an Inquiry Form
All applicants must begin the application process by submitting an inquiry form. Once submitted, you will receive an email to set up your PDS Admission portal account.
Submit a Student Profile via the Standard Application Online
Complete the Student Profile Form of the Standard Application Online (SAO) and pay the application fee. A link to the SAO can be found on your Inquiry checklist. The Student Profile Form should be submitted as early as possible. This will grant you access to your applicant checklist on the PDS Admission Portal. All remaining application materials must be submitted by the January 15 deadline.

Schedule Your Middle School Visit
The group activity visit must be scheduled by parents/caregivers via the applicant checklist on the PDS Admission Portal. Students will meet faculty, current students, visit classes and 5th grade applicants will complete admission testing, too. There will be a concurrent parent program.
Complete Standardized Testing
All middle school applicants are required to submit SSAT (or ISEE) scores.
5th grade Applicants- Students are required to take the Elementary Level SSAT. Princeton Day School is offering the Elementary Level SSAT as part of the required visit on January 8 or January 22. Registration details available in your applicant checklist.
6th-8th grade Applicants- Students are required to take the Middle Level SSAT. Fall SSAT testing dates and registration here. Scores must be received no later than January 15. This excludes 5th grade students who take the test here at PDS on January 8 or January 22. Note: Scores from the national January 4 SSAT test date are allowed, even if not guaranteed by January 15. Use the SSAT code 5902 to have your scores sent to PDS.
Complete Your Application Checklist by January 15
All required application components will appear on your application checklist within the PDS Admission Portal. All materials are due by January 15.
