Complete the Student Profile Form of the Standard Application Online (SAO) and pay the application fee as soon as possible to begin an application with PDS. Once you complete this step, you will receive an email from the PDS Admission Portal to set up an account to track all your admission activities.
Start by creating a new student account by clicking below.
Once you submit the Student Profile Form at SSAT.org and also create your account in the PDS Admission Portal, you will be able to register for one of the required Middle School Group Activities directly through your child’s checklist. These activities will be conducted either in person or virtually in the month of January; dates to be determined. We are continuously updating our policies according to current State and CDC guidelines. Please refer to your child's checklist in the PDS Admission Portal for updates and to schedule required visits when available.
Standardized testing is optional for all applicants. If your child has taken, or plans to take, the SSAT or ISEE you may submit their scores but it is not required. We will accept scores from this current school year or from 2020-2021. All applicants will be reviewed holistically, and students who do not submit scores will not be disadvantaged in the admission process.
The MAP Test is a standardized test that is administered by many schools. If your child's school uses MAP Testing, please submit those scores. If your child's school does not administer MAP testing, please submit other school-administered standardized test scores if available, such as ERB or state-required tests. Scores may be submitted through your child's checklist in your PDS Admission Portal.
When you log into your child's checklist in the PDS Admission Portal, you will see a checklist of all application components needed for your grade.
All applicants are required to submit recommendations from the current year English and Math teachers and the current year Principal/Counselor. In addition, there are spaces for optional recommendations should a family wish to provide more information.
All materials are due by January 15.
Application Deadline: January 15
If you are interested in applying for financial aid, an application must be submitted to SSS by February 15.
