Application Process

SSAT Application

Princeton Day School uses the SSAT Standard Application Online (SAO) for all grades. The application process differs slightly depending on the grade to which you are applying.

To begin the application process with PDS for any grade, you must first submit the Student Profile within the SAO, and pay the application fee. This opens an application file with us, and allows you to schedule your assessments and interviews. You then have until January 15 to work on, complete, and submit the rest of the application.

The natural entry points at PDS are the grades where we increase the size of the school. Therefore, we know we will have openings at those grades.

For 2018-19 those grades and approximate number of spaces are:

PK15 spaces
K20 spaces
115 spaces
516 spaces
616 spaces
945 spaces
Please note applicants must turn four years old by September 1st to be eligible for PreKindergarten. Applicants must turn five years old by September 1st to be eligible for Kindergarten. Applicants must turn six years old by September 1st to be eligible for First grade.

In a given school year, we expect there to be a few openings in other grades. To be considered for an opening, families are advised to follow our regular procedures and deadlines.

Princeton Day School complies with all federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination in its admission, employment and administrative policies.
