Application Process

We are accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. These applications will be for a spot on the waitlist, as our enrollment is full at most grade levels. Please call the office at 609-924-6700, ext. 1200 for more information.

Getting Started

Princeton Day School uses the Standard Application Online (SAO) for all grades. The application process differs slightly depending on the grade to which you are applying.

To begin the application process with PDS for any grade, you must first submit the Student Profile within the SAO, and pay the application fee.

Once you have submitted the Student Profile on the SAO, you will receive an email from the PDS Admission Portal to set up an account to track all your child’s admission activities.

This opens an application file with us, and allows you to schedule your assessments and interviews.

Standardized Testing

Standardized testing is optional for all applicants. If your child has taken, or plans to take, the SSAT or ISEE you may submit their scores but it is not required. We will accept scores from this current school year or from last year. All applicants will be reviewed holistically, and students who do not submit scores will not be disadvantaged in the admission process.

Teacher Recommendations

All recommendations must be from the current school year. In addition, there are spaces for optional recommendations should a family wish to provide more information.

Lower School Age Requirement

Princeton Day School has an age requirement for applicants to PreKindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade. Applicants to Pre-K must turn 4 years old by September 1; applicants to Kindergarten must turn 5 years old by September 1; and Applicants to First Grade must turn 6 years old by September 1.

Princeton Day School complies with all federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination in its admission, employment and administrative policies.
