Visitor Policy

Princeton Day School Visitor Policy

September 7, 2022 - June 9, 2023
 

All parent and guardian visitors (outside of arrivals) must sign in at reception each day and wear a visitor's badge.

If you are inside the building, do not open any exterior doors for others. Direct them to the exterior Main Reception doors to be properly admitted.

Admissions visitors:  All admissions visitors should follow the instructions provided by the admissions office when on campus.

 

COVID Protocols

  • We recommend that all visitors to campus are fully vaccinated.

  • We will no longer be checking proof of vaccination from visitors.

  • We will be mask-optional for all individuals on campus.

  • Do not come to campus if you have COVID symptoms.  If you have tested positive for COVID, do not come to campus until your isolation period has been completed and you no longer have symptoms.

Meetings

  • All meetings on campus must be scheduled in advance.  All meetings are by appointment only.  

  • All visitors must leave the building as soon as their scheduled meeting/event has ended.

  • Larger pre-planned meetings/events:  Visitors must sign in, go to the meeting and leave as soon as the meeting has ended.

  • Volunteers must always sign in and go directly to their designated assignment.

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

  • Lower School

    • Parents/Guardians will be permitted to enter the Lower School for drop off between 7:15am and 8:00am.  Parents/Guardians must leave the building by 8:00am.

    • Picking up students at the end of day:  All students will be dismissed from the LS Amphitheater at the end of the day. Parents/Guardians should meet students outside the building.

    • For students who are being picked up before dismissal time, parents/guardians must notify Tracy Davis (tdavis@pds.org) of the appointment pick up time.  Parents/Guardians must meet their student at the LS main entrance for pick-up.

  • Middle School 

    • MS students are to be dropped off at the entrance and parents/guardians are asked to not enter the building with them.

    • Picking up students at the end of day:  All students will be dismissed from the building at the end of the day. Parents/Guardians should meet students outside the building.

    • Middle School Parents/Guardians must notify Chrissy Johnson (cjohnson@pds.org) of the appointment pick up time. Students will sign out in the middle school office and be sent to the main entrance of the school for pick up at the appropriate time.  

  • Upper School

    • US students are to be dropped off at the entrance and parents/guardians are asked to not enter the building with them.

    • Picking up students at the end of day:  All students will be dismissed from the building at the end of the day. Parents/Guardians should meet students outside the building.

    • US Students should sign out at the US Reception Desk if they are leaving before 3:20 and meet their parents/guardian in the car or main reception area.

The visitor policy may be adjusted throughout the year based on our experience with it.
