2020 Blue and White Society
Congratulations Class of 2020! In just a few days you will join the Princeton Day School Alumni Community, a dynamic, talented and inspiring group that I know you will further enrich as you make your way in the world beyond the Great Road. As alumni, there are some wonderful benefits, such as special events and career networking, but there is also a great responsibility and a role that you can still play to help keep our school strong.
Each year, over 1,000 Alumni make a gift to the Annual Fund, which supports every part of the PDS experience. They don't know you know you, but they've made it a priority to ensure that you had every opportunity that they had as PDS students. I'm asking you to join them by becoming a member of the Blue and White Society. This is your chance to show what PDS has meant to you and in a way say thank you- it might be for a teacher who saw you through some tough times, or for the friends and memories that you’ve made.
By joining the Blue and White Society, you make a pledge to make a gift to PDS over the next four years. The gift we recommend is $20.20 in honor of your class, about $5 a year. This is not about the dollar amount, but your participation. It sends a big message when so many of our youngest alumni make this commitment to PDS. Last year, over 90% of the Class of 2019 signed on.
Your class has made an indelible mark on our school. Joining the Blue and White Society in great numbers will add to your already bright legacy. As a thank you for signing on, you will receive a special edition PDS hat with a '20 embroidered on it - a symbol that you're part of something really special (pictured below).
Everyone in our community is asked to make a gift to the Annual Fund, alumni, parents, and faculty & staff. I've asked Chris Devlin to talk to you about why he gives back. Please join him and sign your pledge through the link below.
I am hopeful that we will be able to continue this discussion at the annual "Last Hurrah" celebration later this summer, but wanted to share this important information with you before then. Thank you!
