"Macbeth" Receives 9 New Jersey Theatre Award Nominations

Princeton Day School received nine nominations from the Montclair State University Theatre Awards Committee for the fall production of "Macbeth." When announcing the nominations, Theater Director Stan Cahill noted that more than 75 schools across New Jersey were considered for these awards, and that nine nominations is a new record for PDS. The production was nominated in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Design
  • Outstanding Achievement in New Media/Special Effects
  • Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design
  • Outstanding Performance by a Leading Actress: Emily Trend
  • Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor: Itai Fruchter
  • Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress: Hope Ammidon
  • Outstanding Production of a Classical Play
  • Outstanding Overall Production of a High School Play
  • The Peter Filichia Award for Pushing the Envelope in Academic Theatre: Stan Cahill

The awards will be held on Monday, May 15 at Montclair State University. Congratulations to our award-winning performing arts department!
