At Princeton Day School we believe participation and learning through
the arts is essential for all students. The Arts at PDS foster more
flexible, creative, and humanistic minds. We offer a wide range of
opportunities in music, theater, dance, studio and design arts. Student
exhibits from Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade showcase the rich
learning that defines our program.
Visual & Design ArtsThe visual and design arts program is a studio-based program based on
the principle that the development of inquisitive, imaginative, and
analytical skills is an essential part of a liberal arts education.
The art department believes that the complex set of skills, habits and
attitudes learned in the arts not only contribute to greater visual
literacy, but also to more innovative, integrated and holistic

Music, Theater and Dance McAneny Theater boasts numerous
musical concerts and theatrical productions each year in addition to

Anne Reid '72 Art GalleryExhibitions
are on display at the Anne Reid Art Gallery throughout the year. The
gallery contains student and professional work and is open to the
public. Please note that the gallery is under construction for the
2006 - 2007 academic year, however PDS will host several art shows in
alternate locations.
