Overview

At Princeton Day School we believe participation and learning through the arts is essential for all students. The Arts at PDS foster more flexible, creative, and humanistic minds. We offer a wide range of opportunities in music, theater, dance, studio and design arts. Student exhibits from Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade showcase the rich learning that defines our program.

Visual & Design Arts

The visual and design arts program is a studio-based program based on the principle that the development of inquisitive, imaginative, and analytical skills is an essential part of a liberal arts education.  The art department believes that the complex set of skills, habits and attitudes learned in the arts not only contribute to greater visual literacy, but also to more innovative, integrated and holistic thinking.
