by michelle ruessPDS recently hosted two clinics where more than 420 studens -- almost half the PDS student population -- received H1N1 flu vaccinations. Children nine and under who need a booster vaccine must wait 21 days, which would be about December 8 for those vaccinated at PDS clinics. PDS will work with the Princeton Health Department to coordinate another clinic and will keep you informed via email and the website. Read today's letter from Head of School Paul J. Stellato.

 PDS Kwanzaa Feast Dec. 11

The PDS Kwanzaa Committee invites members of the PDS community to the second annual Kwanzaa Feast from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 in the Campus Center.
Come learn about the origins and guiding principles of Kwanzaa, share a traditional feast and be entertained by PDS students and faculty.

 PT Now Offered at PDS!
by michelle ruessSports Physical Therapy Institute, a private practice, will now offer therapy services on campus to PDS students, families, faculty and staff. Working out of the PDS Athletic training facility and Patrick Kerney '94 fitness center, SPTI offers evaluation, one-to-one treatment, personal exercise and stretching programs as well as home exercise programs. Current hours are 6 a.m. – Noon Tuesday and Thursday and may expand to meet demand.

 Important! H1N1 Virus Guidelines
by michelle ruessHead of School Paul Stellato asks all members of the PDS community to take the threat of H1N1 (swine flu) seriously and to abide by the guidelines and policies announced this week. Be vaccinated for the regular seasonal flu: Although a vaccine for the H1N1 will not be available until later this fall, the regular seasonal flu vaccine will be available in the coming weeks. The CDC recommends the seasonal flu vaccine for virtually everyone. Exceptions. If a large percentage of students and employees receive the seasonal flu vaccine, we may avoid compounding the potential impact of the H1N1 virus with an outbreak of the seasonal flu.  PDS Offers Private Music Lessons
PDS is offering fee-based individual and group instruction. Piano, wind, percussion, guitar, strings and voice start lessons begin in late September.
