Opportunity for Growth and Discovery

The college admissions process at Princeton Day School encourages students to explore options and consider how best to apply what they have learned here to life beyond our campus.

The process requires reflection and self-discovery, resulting in personal growth.

Our College Counseling team understands both the excitement and challenge at this juncture in our students’ lives and provides the tools families need to make their best decisions.

We recognize that a “good college” for one student may not be a “good college” for another. Students must take time to explore their options and decide which elements of location, academics, and student life matter most.

Through individual consultations, weekly seminars, newsletters, and the Naviance computer program, PDS college counselors  ensure that both students and parents understand the nuances of the college process.

Princeton Day School strives to prepare students not only for college but also for life beyond. Our college counselors are eager to help students identify a path that will inspire them, educate them and nurture them  for years to come.

Princeton Day School is pleased to post the matriculation list for the Class of 2012 (pdf). In announcing this news, Director of College Counseling Sarah Graham remarked: “The Class of 2012 represents a group of spirited, unique, and talented individuals who have taken full advantage of the resources available to them at Princeton Day School. As they enter this next chapter of their lives, they will be enrolling at some of the most highly selective schools in the country. There, they will continue to build on the success that they have achieved at PDS as they study a diverse range of disciplines, including engineering, arts and sciences, theater, architecture, film, and dance. This matriculation list represents thoughtful consideration, deep self-reflection, and focused research. We wish our graduating seniors well and know that they are well-prepared to dive into college life and make a difference in their campus communities, just as they have done in ours.”
