Anne Reid ’72 Art Gallery
This impressive gallery displays the work of renowned artists as well as student and faculty exhibits. The entire community is invited to all exhibits, as well as opening receptions and gallery talks.

Bookstore
The bookstore is located downstairs in the Middle School, and the hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00 pm during the school year. The store sells textbooks for Middle and Upper school students as well as items such as school supplies, Panther wear (sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps, etc.), car magnets, blankets, and more.
Business Office
For financial queries, and more, the business office is located directly upstairs from the main school entrance.
Campus Center
The main cafeteria for students in 3rd through 12th grade, as well as a meeting space for the school community.
Carriage House
This small building, which is located opposite of Colross, is used as a classroom.
Colross
This lovely Georgian building at the front entrance of the school was built in Alexandria, Virginia in 1799. It was moved to its present location in 1929 and now houses the admission and advancement offices. A variety of school events are hosted here, as well.
Edward and Marie Matthews Arts Wing
The Matthews Arts Wing is home to Visual and Design Arts classrooms, including photography, architecture, ceramics, and woodworking. The centerpiece of the wing is the David Mathey ’47 Arts Atrium, an ever-changing space that functions as an open classroom and exhibition area for our student artists.
Fox Room
Located next to the McAneny Theater, this room is used for various events, including meetings, luncheons, and recitals.
Garden
The PDS Organic Garden is thriving with plants and vegetables nearly all year, and now includes the new chicken coop. Garden Coordinator Pam Flory tends the garden and teaches students about planting, caring for, and tasting the organic garden produce. The produce is harvested and integrated by the PDS Chefs into the lunchroom menu. Parents are always invited to help in the garden.
Garden Classroom
Designed by architect Susan Bristol, this beautiful new structure is a covered extension of the garden and serves as an outdoor classroom with tables, chairs, a chalkboard, and a kitchen.
Gymateria
This gym is located in the Lower School and is also used by students from Pre-K to 2nd grade as their cafeteria.
Kristy’s Meadow
The hill beyond the Lower School Playground and next to the garden has been converted to a native wildflower meadow to honor PDS graduate and environmental advocate Kristine “Kristy” Anastasio Manning ‘81.
Lisa McGraw ’44 Ice Rink
The rink is the venue for our hockey teams and figure skaters. In addition, Parents Association meetings are often held in the Gosnell Room at the Rink. (NB: Lower School and Middle School Students take ice skating in the PE program for a part of the year.)
Lower School Office
This office is located right inside of the Lower School outdoor amphitheater. Marie Shock, Assistant to the Head of the Lower School, and Lisa Surace, Head of the Lower School, are located here.
Lost and Found
There are two places to look for lost items—in a long wooden box in the basement of Lower School, just past the Music Room, and in a large box just down the diagonal hallway to the left of Mr. Hancock’s office in the Middle School.
Lower School Music Room
Located down the stairs from the back entrance of the Lower School (the bus drop-off area), this room is used for Lower School assemblies, meetings, and special events.
McAneny Theater
This is the main theater at Princeton Day School. Most of the school’s theatrical and musical performances, as well as formal assemblies, take place in this theater, located in the main school building.
Middle School Office
Located downstairs, to the left of the main entrance, the library is on the left, and the office is around the corner to the right. Barbara Brent, Assistant to Head of Middle School, and Steve Hancock, Head of Middle School are located here.
Middle School Amphitheater
This room, located at the end of the corridor at the right of the Middle School office, is used for multi-media presentations and other special events for Middle School students.
Nurse’s Office
Nurse Carol Nicholas and her team are based in the wing opposite the Upper School library at the end of the corridor. Nurse Carol should be contacted to discuss any medical concerns regarding your child (extension: 1190, and cell: 609-273-8800).
Parking
Parents are asked to park in visitor parking spots, which are located along the left and right side of the upper loop of the circle, and the left side of the bottom loop of the circle. In addition, parents can use the spaces to the left of the Colross building and near the rink. Please remember that there is no parking on the right side of the bottom loop of the circle, or any other area marked in yellow as “fire lane.”
Patrick Kearney ’94 Fitness Center
Fitness center and gym that is used by students, faculty, staff, and parents, who are invited to morning classes and sessions. Located near the Athletics office.
Pretty Brook Farm
The former residence of Dean Mathey, benefactor of the school, Pretty Brook Farm provides faculty housing, and is the venue for some meetings and social events, as well. It is located down the lane to the left of the ice rink. Parking is limited, so parents are encouraged to park at ice rink and walk down.
Snack Bar
The Snack Bar is located beside the Campus Center and is open throughout the day during the school year, and features freshly baked snacks and coffee. Children can pay for snacks with cash or charge to their account (with prior parental agreement). Parents are welcome to stop by, as well.
