Curriculum Guide

Middle School at Princeton Day School is fresh and engaging, full of variety and opportunities.

Our curriculum makes the most of the tremendous leap in intellectual, physical and social growth that defines the fifth through eighth grade developmental progression. The program maintains a rigor that fosters academic excellence while accommodating students with diverse talents and levels of maturity.

Our students develop critical thinking, writing and research skills along with effective time management, enabling them to tackle increasingly difficult projects as they move through adolescence. They learn to treat themselves and each other with respect and to consider themselves as part of a larger school community.

Field trips, visits from guest artists, academics and athletes extend our students’ education beyond the classroom. And our clubs, team sports, drama productions and annual Mini-Course Week provide unique opportunities for growth and leadership.
