Concussion Fact Sheet for Athletes
PDS is strongly committed to the development of our athletes and the excellence of our teams.
With more than 50 varsity, junior varsity, and middle school teams in 20 different sports, the athletic program is broad enough to prepare gifted athletes to compete at the college level while, at the same time, ensuring that all students are exposed to the lifelong benefits of athletic participation and physical fitness.
PDS is a member of the large schools division of the Patriot Conference and also competes in the Interac / Friends Volleyball League, Women’s Interscholastic Hockey League of the Mid-Atlantic, Bianchi Division of the New Jersey Interscholastic Lacrosse League, and the Bedesem Division of the Central Jersey Women’s Lacrosse League.
An accomplished coaching staff, including a number of PDS alumni and teachers, features men and women with years—and in some cases decades—of experience, as well as individuals who established stand-out careers as Division I college athletes and All-Americans. Directory of Coaches
The school’s 105-acre campus features outstanding athletics facilities, from extensive playing fields, including a superb turf field, to the Lisa McGraw ’44 Ice Skating Rink. An expansive new fitness facility is staffed by a dedicated performance coach who focuses on strength and conditioning with athletes in all sports.
